Exciting new Job Opportunity in the new €41.3 million research centre which will be the home of research, innovation, and policy development across the interlinked challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and water degradation on the islands of Ireland and Britain.

The new Co-Centre for Climate+ Biodiversity + Water hosted by the School of Natural Sciences, Trinity College Dublin is an international collaborative Co-Centre working across 14 academic partner institutions in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

The Co-Centre for Climate+ Biodiversity + Water, hosted by the School of Natural Sciences, is seeking to appoint a Project Accountant/Business Analyst to manage the implementation of the financial and business aspects of the Co-Centre’s research and impact programme. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality financial management and expertise that is central for the operations of the international tri-jurisdictional Co-Centre.

The successful candidate will play a dynamic role in providing responsive and user-friendly financial management services to the Co-Centre's operations and research teams across multiple universities in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Great Britain. Operating at a senior level with a high degree of autonomy, the Finance Manager will take full ownership of managing prime funder and industry-related finances, ensuring compliance with all reporting obligations, college policies, and public procurement procedures suitable for the Co-Centre's scale (>€40M) and complexity.

The Finance Manager, based at Trinity's Co-Centre offices, will collaborate with partners, including the operations team at Queen’s University Belfast, and occasionally travel to Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

Post status: Specific Purpose

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative Officer 1 (1-3) Salary Scale (€65,367 -€84,560 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
