We are seeking a Research Manager to lead the College Connect Project which aims to support access to higher education for communities underrepresented in higher education (including Travellers, people with disabilities, people in the asylum system, refugees, people with previous convictions) in the Midlands, East, North Dublin (MEND) region.

We are seeking a Research Manager for the College Connect project.  The Research Manager will be based in the Maynooth University Access Programme and will report to the Director of Access.

The Research Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a research strategy for the College Connect project underpinned by a Participatory Action Research Framework to contribute to widening participation evidence and policy and broaden access to higher education institutionally, regionally across the MEND HEIs, and nationally.

The Research Manager has overall responsibility for leading the development of community needs analyses with target communities, training peer-research teams, chairing research oversight groups, as well as writing and publishing research reports. The Research Manager leads the development of the data strategy, in partnership with the All-Island Research Observatory (AIRO), to develop and harness new spatial analyses and community engagement tracking tools to drive project activity and inform future policy, practice and research at regional and national level.

Salary

Senior Admin Officer IV:                        €59,917 - €95,135 per annum (7 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the Senior Admin Officer IV.
