The Role 

Maynooth University is committed to a strategy in which the primary University goals of excellent research and scholarship and outstanding education are interlinked and equally valued. We are seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for a full-term fixed-term position as a Research Fellow to work on a project funded by CONFIRM, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Smart Manufacturing. The desired Research Fellow will be an experienced individual with the capability to develop and lead research projects in the social science domain, leading efforts in the study of sustainability and circularity in advanced manufacturing. They will be expected to develop research that aligns to the human-centric aspects of CONFIRM Phase 2 themes (specifically Theme 5 Circular Economy and SC Systems) on topics such as the circular economy, sustainability, privacy and trust in technology, business models, etc. The Research Fellow will also be expected to develop and lead grant submissions with and for CONFIRM. The Research Fellow will work within a multidisciplinary team and research environment that is very supportive and promotes personal development.

Research Fellow Point 1 (2022) Salary Scale:                                     €56,933 per annum (1 point)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
