Research Fellow

Maynooth University is committed to a strategy in which the primary University goals of excellent research and scholarship and outstanding education are interlinked and equally valued.

We are seeking an experienced researcher to be appointed at Research Fellow level to help develop the research capacity and profile of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute (EMKI) in the areas of peace and civil security studies. The EMKI is looking to significantly increase its participation in collaborative international research projects particularly in the Horizon Europe framework, but also other opportunities at national and international level. The Institute intends to develop its profile in cutting edge research and innovation in the areas of peacebuilding, security, justice, policing, civil protection, prevention of extremism, trauma intervention.  

Research Fellow Level 3 (2022) Salary Scale:                                    €56,933 - €62,037 per annum (4 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
