Race Equality Project Coordinator

The Office of the Vice-President for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is seeking to appoint a Race Equality Project Officer to work closely with, and under the direction of the Vice-President for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (and/or her nominee) to support implementation of the recommendations of the HEA Race Equality in the Higher Education Sector Implementation Plan 2022-2024. MU has recently signed the Anti-Racism Principles for Irish Higher Education Institutions. The Race Equality Project Officer will play a key role in ensuring the promotion and mainstreaming of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) throughout the University with a particular emphasis on Race Equality. One of the key responsibilities of this role is to support the development and initial implementation of a Race Equality Action Plan. The Race Equality Officer will also play a key part in contributing to the implementation of the University’s strategic objectives related to EDI.   

Administrative Officer II (2023) Salary Scale:                                    €42,893 – €61,240 p.a. (9 points)  

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
