Maynooth University is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic as Professor of Intersectional Humanities. The successful applicant will initially be sited in the Arts and Humanities Institute and attached to one of the Departments/Schools in the Faculty. The successful applicant will contribute to, and strengthen, the existing research capabilities of the Faculty and provide leadership in the areas of gender, intersectionality and culture in the work of the Faculty.

Applicants should have a clearly articulated and ambitious programme of research and an expertise in Intersectional Humanities at the forefront of research on the interlocking complexities of gender, race, sexuality and other minority statuses and identities.

The recruitment of a high-profile academic to this strategic area will provide research leadership in the Faculty, augment our international reputation in research and teaching, and consolidate and build upon existing Faculty strengths.

Salary

Professor A (Post 1995):                                                €124,683 - €157,611 per annum

Professor A (Pre 1995):                                                  €118,449 - €152,219 per annum

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
