The Role

In its current strategic plan, the University has set ambitious goals for postgraduate education and the position of Postgraduate Admissions Officer will lead the management and development of an efficient and responsive application management system, and the implementation of effective admissions procedures and processes in support of these goals.

We are seeking an experienced professional with proven experience of business system development for this senior role within the Graduate Studies Office. The Postgraduate Admissions Officer will have responsibility for Postgraduate and Non-CAO Admissions to Maynooth University and will lead a team responsible for the effective and responsive functioning of postgraduate applications and scholarships using the PAC platform. They will also be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of postgraduate admissions policies and processes, in conjunction with academic and Registry staff.

The Postgraduate Admissions Officer will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of the admissions infrastructure for all university users and applicants. They will work closely with Maynooth University IT Services, to lead the ongoing development of the University postgraduate application management systems (PAC) in line with the business needs of all stakeholders. This will include proactively scoping new trends, processes, and technologies to ensure the improvement of the admissions function. They will collaborate closely with key stakeholders including the International Office, Registry, Fees and Grants Office, and academic departments to implement developments in line with units’ business needs and system governance structures and procedures.

Administrative Officer I (2022) Salary Scale:                                  €51,170 – 73,009 per annum (9 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
