Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Administrative Assistant - I-Form Centre within UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering

The I-Form Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre has been established by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) to deliver high-impact, innovative science and engineering within manufacturing. The Centre brings together a multi-disciplinary team of over 100 PhD and Post-Doc researchers in manufacturing engineering, materials and data science, in a cross-disciplinary and translational research environment. I-Form operates in close collaboration with a network of companies, as well as leading manufacturing research centres from around the globe. The Centre's research programme is primarily focused on materials processing with additive manufacturing (`3D printing') as a key demonstrator, combined with the application of advanced digital technologies in a manufacturing environment.

As the Centre continues the expand, there is now the need for increased support in administration activities. The Research Administration Assistant will play a key role in I-Form as part of the Operations Team and will be responsible for the successful functioning of the administrative activities of the Centre. The post holder will provide essential administrative support to the Centre and will work closely with the Academic Director with responsibility for daily office administration and diary management. In addition, the person will provide direct support to the Centre Manager and Finance Manager on procurement, processing of invoices and expenses. This is a high volume operational role best suited to someone who has experience supporting top-level management in a busy environment.

I-Form is supported in part by a research grant from Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) under Grant Number 16/RC/3872 and is co-funded under the European Regional Development Fund and by I-Form industry partners.

Salary: €42,475 - €44,337 pro rata (50-60% FTE) dependant on experience

Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
