The Role 

Maynooth University is committed to a strategy in which the primary University goals of excellent research and scholarship and outstanding education are interlinked and equally valued. In its strategic plan 2018-22, the university has set ambitious goals for postgraduate education, and the newly created position of Academic Programmes Officer will support the Director of Postgraduate Programmes and the Dean of Graduate Studies in this effort by providing research, report writing and data analysis to ensure best practices in data-supported decision making.

We are seeking professional who is committed to education to join a dynamic, hardworking, and collegial team in the MU Graduate Studies Office. Reporting to the Director of Postgraduate Programmes, the Academic Programmes Officer will support the growth and development of postgraduate programmes, policies and processes and the Graduate Studies Office through gathering qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research on best practices, report writing, analysis and presentation. This will involve liaising with individuals and groups across the academic community, including students and staff in academic departments, research institutes and support units, Academic Council, the Graduate and International Committee, the Masters’ Task Force, and the University Executive. This post will play a key role in achieving the MU Graduate Studies Office’s strategic goals of expanding postgraduate offerings within an environment of collegiality, integrity, and operational excellence.

Administrative Officer II (2022) Salary Scale:                                   €39,628 – €56,860 per annum (9 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
