Offer Description

The Dean of the Faculty of Education of the University of Ostrava has announced a job vacancy:

• VP4 Junior/Postdoc (Laboratory of Biomechanics and Imaging Methods) on the LERCO project, reg. no. CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000003, for the Department of Human Movement Studies, Faculty of Education, University of Ostrava

This is a new position to be filled in accordance with the terms of the Life Environment Research Center Ostrava project (LERCO, reg. no. CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000003); Research Programme 4.

Job title:

• VP4 Junior/Postdoc
• Systemized position type: Researcher II (non-academic staff)

Estimated working hours:

• 1,0; full-time

Expected start:

• from 1. 5. 2024, or by agreement
• employment will be concluded for a fixed period of time

Job description:

• participation in second wave measurements of a cohort of 1000 runners and inactive population of 4HAIE on MRI (Magnetom Sempra Siemens - we will train if this experience is not available); analysis of MRI data with support of project partners - professional collaboration with Oulu University, Wiena University of Science and Technology and others. Preparation of data for creation of IT applications in cooperation with partners. Separate proposals for solutions in data analysis of the LERCO 4HAIE project (Laboratory of Biomechanics and Imaging Methods) investigating mutual associations between air pollution, physical activity and human health (Life & Environment Research Center Ostrava (LERCO) - Program 4)
• publications are foreseen within the project together with the LERCO 4HAIE team
• participation in the preparation of methodological materials
• coordination of the work of lab technicians and PhD students in data collection and analysis

• according to the Internal Wage Regulations of the university

Skills/Qualifications

Qualifications and other requirements:

• completion of a PhD degree in biomedical engineering, or related IT field and/or medical field with competencies in MRI data processing; or a similar field related to human health; or other disciplines upon personal consultation
• motivation for scientific work
• time flexibility
• excellent communication and organizational skills
• positive work attitude, responsibility, reliability, independence and diligence
• knowledge of English language (B2)
• EU Research level: "R2 - Recognized"
