The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position

Instructor or Assistant Professor of the Department of Health Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine MU
– for theeducation in Public Health study programme

(With shorter working hours – min. 20 hours per week)

The Department of Health Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine MU is an educational and research institution of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. Provides teaching of study programs in non-medical study programs (mainly for the study programs General Nurse, Midwives, Paramedics, and Intensive Care) and participates at the tuition of other non-medical programs and also General Medicine and Dentistry.

The scope of your work will be:

• participation in theoretical and practical teaching at the workplace
• preparation of the study and teaching materials
• independent research and development activities, including the publication and presentation of research results
• organization and participation in foreign internships of students and academic staff
• participation in the organizational provision of research and pedagogical activities, incl. related administration

For the position of an assistant professor, in addition:

• membership of state final examination committees
• independent research and development activities, including presentation of results and publication activities

Required qualification:

• completed master's degree and acquired professional competence to practise the profession of a non-medical health professional in the context of Act No 96/2004 Coll. or Act No 95/2004 Coll. in the current versions in a master's degree in a medically oriented field or in a related field and in a field related to human biology, or equivalent education obtained abroad
• teaching experience at the university of at least one year
• experience in supervising the final theses of non-medical healthcare students and public health students (at least 1 year)
• experience in participation in international research projects
• knowledge of Evidence-Based Healthcare and systematic review methodology at the level of certified training courses of international professional societies
• experience in the development of clinical practice guidelines
• working with scientific databases and knowledge of systematic searches at an advanced level
• capability of independent professional and research work including publishing activities
• capability to actively participate at an international conferences or professional seminars
• fluent Czech (spoken and written) at C1 level
• fluent English (spoken and written) at B2 level
• active approach, initiative, and willingness for further education
• moral integrity
• for the position of assistant professor, in addition: a doctoral degree in a medical or natural science and a university degree in economics
