Job title: Assistant Professor
Field and specialization: Intercultural communication, translation and interpreting, German

Full-time position: 0,75 (30 hours per week)

Job description:

• teaching in the required specialisation and teaching general subjects with emphasis on bachelor's and master's studies, evaluations, holding seminars and conducting other basic forms of teaching, participating in the arrangements of other forms of pedagogical activities of the top management, serving as a projects and thesis supervisor and examiner
• participation in research and publication activities in the required specialisation
• active participation in domestic and international conferences and organization of international workshops and scientific conferences

Skills/Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in German Studies
• study or teaching experience from abroad is welcome
• professional and publishing activity
• experience with project activities is an advantage
• organizational and administrative skills, knowledge of the German language enabling publishing and teaching activities (at least C1 level)
• native-speaker level of Czech (C2 level)
• experience in translation between German and Czech enabling to hold seminars focused on translation of texts of mainly technical and journalistic character from German into Czech
• teaching experience (previous teaching experience in the field of translation is welcome)
