Job title: academic staff member – assistant professor
Field and specialization: geoarchaeology-historical ecology
Expected salary/job rank: AP2
Full-time position: 1,0 (40 hours per week)
Job description:
- teaching subjects in above mentioned field and specialization, especially at the level of bachelor's and master's studies, including supervision of students’ theses
- research, publishing and other creative activities
Expected starting date: January 1, 2024

Skills/Qualifications
- Ph.D. in ecology/geology and/or archaeology
- a university education of at least Master's level in archaeology and ecology/geology (or related natural sciences) at the same time
- specialisation in geoarchaeology and/or historical ecology and/or environmental archaeology established international contacts in the field
- publication activity with emphasis on the WoS database
- experience in the submission and management of research projects (including international cooperation)
- organisational and communication skills
- pedagogical skills (environmental archaeology, geoarchaeology, historical ecology, GIS, statistical methods)
- the prerequisites for a successful habilitation procedure within a time horizon of five years
