post-doctoral researcher Policy Supporting Research on Educational Innovation (50%)
Background
UHasselt is looking for a part-time researcher-expert (i.e. doctor-researcher) specialized in policy support research on educational innovation. The candidate will be part of the School of Educational Studies (SES) and perform research at the new research group 'Center for Inclusive and Excellent Learning'. The new education policy plan 2022-2029 of UHasselt strongly emphasizes education innovation in combination with education research.
Job content
The researcher-expert is responsible for the research-based flanking of current innovation projects and the initiation of new research projects in line with innovations set up at UHasselt. You have proven expertise in educational innovation research and teaching experience in higher education. You have an international focus, both in education and in research.
Profile
  • You hold a doctoral degree in Pedagogical Sciences, Educational Sciences (or equivalent) (or equivalent)
  • A degree in Pedagogical Competence (or equivalent) is an added value.
  • You have teaching experience at the college or university level.
  • You have realized a solid research output during your PhD and other research activities.
  • You are interested in starting up (new) research lines on educational innovation within SES. You have experience with project applications.
  • You have an international focus. Demonstrable mobility to other research centers is a plus.
  • You are motivated to work on educational innovation (new educational forms such as blended learning) and educational research at UHasselt.
  • By applying a proactive planning and organization, you guarantee a smooth progress control of the assignments assigned to you. You are flexible in dealing with changing priorities and the varied range of tasks throughout the academic year.
  • You actively contribute to a positive working atmosphere where you make connections between different domains, faculties and people (teaching assistants, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, professors). You can functionally manage and supervise colleagues, PhD students and junior researchers.
  • You have an appropriate and fluent communication style in English.
Offer
You will be appointed and paid as post-doctoral researcher .
We offer you a part-time appointment (50%) for 3 years.
