Overview
ECU's Student Administration directorate processes admission applications, manages fees and scholarships, provides examination logistics, result administration, develops and maintains academic and examination timetables.

Due to the easing of Western Australian border restrictions in relation to pandemic conditions, resulting in a sudden and unanticipated increase in student enrolments, enquiries and work activities associated with this increase, we are seeking Student Transactions Officers to work within the Admissions and Assessments and Student Records teams.

Successful candidates would be initially assigned to Admissions or Assessments and Student Records,  however may be moved to other teams within Student Administration, such as Fees and Scholarships, to support operational needs or to enable career development.

The Role
As a Student Transactions Officer in the Admissions Team, you will be responsible for assessing domestic admission applications, processing applications for credit and recognition of prior learning, data entry, international related admission tasks, contributing towards process improvements and handling complex email and phone enquiries.

As a Student Transactions Officer within Assessments and Student Records, you will be responsible for (but not limited to), processing results, course transfers and Progression Panel outcomes, supporting the administration of all centrally timetabled examinations and handling complex email and phone enquiries.

Key Criteria
The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a busy, high volume transactional administrative workplace
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing work environment with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and solve problems under pressure
  • A sound level of communication and interpersonal skills, whilst working efficiently and autonomously
