  • Level 4, part-time appointment (0.6 FTE) on a fixed term basis until December 2024
  • Base salary range: $70,905 – $75,319 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team

The Graduate Research School (GRS) sits within the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) portfolio. The GRS provides strategic and academic leadership and management to enhance graduate research training at the University. The GRS manages Admissions, Candidature, Examinations and Scholarship allocations for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students and applicants, as well as providing skills and professional development to both students and supervisors.

About the opportunity

As the appointee, you will, under general direction, be the first point of contact for the GRS students, University staff, and members of the community. The focus of the position is to provide quality professional services, ensuring the office runs smoothly and staff and students obtain the support required to be efficient.

About you 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Year 12 or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Considerable relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, display sound judgement, and use initiative.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to continual improvement, innovation and learning to achieve goals.
  • Well-developed customer service skills and an understanding of the needs of a culturally diverse university community.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team.
