The STEM Academy delivers a range of outreach activities and initiatives to support student participation in STEM in secondary schools and introduce them to STEM study areas available at the University of Adelaide. The program is coordinated by the Program Coordinator (STEM Academy) in the Domestic Student Recruitment Team, in close association with the Faculty of Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences.
Working under the Program Coordinator (STEM Academy), the STEM Communicator will develop and deliver interactive workshops, activities, and presentations to secondary school students as part of the University of Adelaide’s STEM Academy.
To be successful you will need:
- Current University of Adelaide student with a background in STEM and interest in STEM communication.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations and workshops and develop a rapport with secondary school students and teachers.
- A high level of professionalism and enthusiasm with strong customer service skills.
- Proven time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
