Base Salary $95,860 - $103,341 pro rata (HEO6) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The School of Electrical and Information Engineering is currently seeking a Senior Administrative Officer to manage general administrative support, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective administrative services. The incumbent will provide guidance, advice, and support to administrative staff in the delivery of work
Outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
manage general administrative services and operational support by the work area
prepare documents, respond to complex queries, explore matters, and source solutions for the work area
coordinate and support School outreach and external engagement activities
coordinate Student Experience initiatives
provide guidance and support to more junior administrative staff
help analyse matters and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes
coordinate diaries, meetings and events and provide conference support for the work area
undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities.
About you

administrative experience in a tertiary organisation, working knowledge of academic institutions, structures and the higher education sector
a working knowledge of software programs such as Sydney Student, PowerBI, and Canvas
excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve required outcomes
strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service
experience in servicing committees and liaising with industry and/or students societies
project management skills
strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in drafting reports/ business cases
experience in providing senior administrative support including developing and implementing administrative processes to improve efficiency.
