Our Wellbeing in Education research community is committed to pioneering research aimed at investigating the wellbeing of students and educators in a broad range of educational settings. We are dedicated to implementing evidence-based practices, and collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize wellbeing in educational settings. Our mission extends to promoting wellbeing and resilience among students, teachers, and other members of the school community through interdisciplinary research and policy advocacy efforts. Through collaborative partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations, our research aims to cultivate equitable, wellbeing-promoting educational communities that foster positive mental health and learning outcomes.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to take a leading role in the development and management of a range of new and ongoing research projects within the fields of education and wellbeing. Working closely with team leaders, you will be instrumental in delivering and overseeing high-quality research.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a range of research projects in the field of wellbeing in education.
- Write grant applications to secure funding for research initiatives.
- Author scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Conduct comprehensive qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis.
- Collaborate with partners across various sectors to advance research objectives.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the team’s goals.
Requirements
- PhD in Education or Psychology
- Proven experience in education research, particularly in wellbeing and related fields
- Excellent writing skills with a track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals
- Demonstrated capacity to secure research funding
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with external partners.
- Possession of a Working With Children Check.
Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $110,065 to $130,045 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
