Your new role
The Partnership Project aims to facilitate mental health awareness and prevention initiatives, provide student-focused support for at-risk students, and provide staff training to implement a real whole-of-university approach from prevention to post-intervention. In addition, the project will address the critical need for suicide prevention efforts at a community level, reducing the significant distress and burden that each youth suicide brings.
As a Research Assistant, you will support the marketing and recruitment of students, assist with questions from clinical trainees, work with our Partners on outreach activities, support a peer network of students from across the country, and manage day-to-day operations. In this role, you will also assist with preparing annual reports and manuscripts for publication.
The successful candidate will have graduate training in epidemiology, psychology, and/or statistics and high communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
In this role you will, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate requirements, and prepare materials for, research activities/experiments/field trips. Liaise with project stakeholders and participants to arrange activities.
- Perform experiments and/or contribute to research activities in accordance with the skills required of the position.
- Undertake literature reviews.
- Assist with the preparation of funding applications.
- Undertake data collection and preliminary analysis.
- Assist with the drafting of progress reports and publications.
- Assist with the preparation of materials and organisation for conference presentations and workshops.
- Facilitate input and updating of research information/activity in relevant databases.
- Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
