About the Nursing Research Institute:

The Nursing Research Institute (NRI) is a collaboration between St Vincent's Health Network Sydney, St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and Australian Catholic University (ACU). The NRI is a highly productive research collaborative with a national and international reputation for conducting rigorous, nurse-led, multidisciplinary health services and implementation science research. Our main research focus is to identify the best ways to promote the translation of evidence into clinical practice with the overall goal of improving patient outcomes and health systems.

About the role:

In this job share role, you will provide proficient administrative support and assistance to the Director and research staff of the Nursing Research Institute to facilitate the efficient operation of the Institute and ensure the achievement of its strategic goals. More specifically the role entails:

  • Coordinate the work flow and provide high level support to the Director on a day-to-day basis.
  • Email management: monitoring of the inbox and coordinating all incoming and outgoing email correspondence.
  • Diary management: prioritizing appointments and the proactive management of the Director's time and resources.
  • Travel arrangements for Director including organizing itineraries, transport, accommodation, visa and registration requirements.
  • Meeting preparation: room and teleconferencing bookings and collating relevant documentation.
  • Maintaining operating procedures and when necessary identify more efficient processes to optimize the Director's time.
  • Coordinate office supplies and general office requirements. Organize printing forms as required. Ensure that office photocopier, facsimile and printer are maintained and supplies order in order to facilitate administrative tasks for all staff.
  • Act as Secretary to the NRI Management and Steering Committees as required, including agenda preparation, papers and taking minutes.
  • Other duties as required by the Director, Deputy Director and Executive Officer of the NRI.

  • Total remuneration valued to $95,827 - $103,735 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $80,975 - $87,658 (pro rata) pa (HEW 5), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
