Overview
The Exercise Medicine Research Institute houses an innovative, multi-disciplinary and productive world leading research team in exercise science dedicated to investigating the extent to which exercise can be employed in chronic disease management, principally cancer, to materially improve patient outcomes. The Vario Health Clinic is the commercial arm of the Institute and provides research-informed, best practice allied health services and programs to the public. 

Due to continued growth & demand for our services we are seeking applications from enthusiastic Exercise Physiologists to deliver consultations and exercise programs as part of the Vario Health Clinic and to support active research trials within the Institute. We are seeking expression of interests from suitably qualified and experienced accredited Exercise Physiologists who would like to join our talent pool and to be contacted about work opportunities as they arise.

The Role
The Exercise Physiologist will plan and deliver exercise intervention programs and services to meet the needs of our diverse clients.  You will be experienced in developing and managing exercise programs, have industry-based experience and the ability to contribute to the development of the research profile of the Institute.  You will have completed the relevant tertiary qualification and be registered and accredited as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) as well as registration with Medicare and the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Provider.

You will have experience in designing, developing, implementing, facilitating and coordinating exercise physiology programs and consulting on an individual and group basis. Current knowledge of the public and private health context of allied health services and in particular, intervention, in Western Australia. 

You will have the ability to contribute to the development of the research profile of the Institute including an understanding of the research process, ethical, compliance and quality issues. 

You will be a self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team to develop to deliver world leading exercise programs. You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence & Courage.

Benefits & Remuneration
The role of Exercise Physiologist attracts a remuneration of $75,821 to $84,254 per annum plus 17% superannuation. Casual loadings will apply as appropriate.
