About the team
The School of Allied Health offers courses, training and research opportunities in a range of disciplines, to significantly benefit the health and wellbeing of Australian and international communities.

The Discipline of Pharmacy sits in the School of Allied Health offering postgraduate training in professional entry to practice Pharmacy. The Discipline of Pharmacy operates through collaborative team effort to work with patients, healthcare professionals and healthcare systems to facilitate medicines optimisation through research and education.

About the opportunity
This position will undertake independent teaching in the area of pharmacy practice with specialised teaching in research. The appointee will be required to deliver teaching in research methods, women’s health and health literacy.

The appointee will be responsible to the Head of the Discipline of Pharmacy to provide academic teaching, unit coordination, and administration and will be actively involved in professional activities. The role requires close collaboration with other academic staff as part of a team presenting, managing and coordinating Pharmacy units.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
Qualifications and / or certifications

  • A degree in Pharmacy.
  • Qualifications at Master’s level or above.

Teaching and learning

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver innovative teaching approaches, assessment Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and effective teaching approaches, materials for units and courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise teaching activities and co-ordinate teaching staff.

Service/ Engagement

  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to staff and students at all levels and evidence of a commitment to equity and diversity principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to team, school and wider University activities such as team and school meetings, strategic planning and program development.

Position specific capabilities

  • Demonstrated skills in teaching research methodologies.
