  • Base Salary range $135,820 to $143,310 + 17% superannuation   


 


 


About the opportunity  


 


Sydney Future Students (SFS) is responsible for domestic and international student recruitment and admissions, collaborating and advising faculties on commencing enrolment settings, widening participation and outreach, global mobility, and international articulation and partnership agreements.   


 


The Executive Officer, Sydney Future Students, provides strategic advice and project and executive administration experience to support the Associate Vice-President, Sydney Future Students, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of key initiatives and strategic projects across the area. The incumbent will use their research and writing skills plus extensive project management expertise to support the Associate Vice-President, Sydney Future Students, on various strategic projects.  


 


Your key responsibilities will be to 


  • provide strategic support and sound advice to the Associate Vice-President, Sydney Future Students, and the SFS Executive, consulting on strategic priorities within the area  

  • prepare and present discussion papers on a broad range of issues, including appropriate and relevant analysis, business strategy, and final recommendations. 

  • design and lead projects to meet objectives, including supporting team members in defining project concepts, phases, objectives, work activities and tasks, timing, milestones, and deliverables. 

  • implement collaborative communication strategies and plans designed to meet the key information requirements and needs of internal and external stakeholders to the University. 


 


About you 


  • significant experience working as an Executive Officer at the highest level in a large, complex organisation 

  • experience project managing multiple work streams, or working on large complex projects to meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes and effectively deliver results 

  • effective managing a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex projects and the ability to develop/ cultivate productive relationships with industry providers and key users 

  • excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters 

  • strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills together with effective leadership and people management skills.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident. 


Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
