  • Base salary $117,116 - $132,079 plus 17% Superannuation

About the opportunity

The Sydney Biomedical Accelerator (SBA) is a partnership between the University of Sydney, Sydney Local Health District and the NSW Government to build a world-leading health, education and biomedical research complex. The SBA will bring together clinicians, researchers, academics and industry to solve the most complex health problems of today, tomorrow and the future.

The COS SBA Business Analyst, will engage with SBA stakeholders in capturing detailed requirements, with a focus on technical laboratory support, and transforming them into feasible strategies and solutions. They will oversee comprehensive documentation, establish open communication channels, and present tailored, innovative solutions that seamlessly fit within the university’s infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will be to:                                                                          

  • drive engagement with diverse stakeholders across SBA (university staff, core research staff, academics hospital staff etc) to deeply understand, analyse, and define business requirements
  • create, refine, and maintain comprehensive and clear documentation capturing business processes and technical specifications, ensuring they serve as an effective reference for diverse teams
  • ensure clear and continuous communication with internal stakeholders and teams to achieve aligned outcomes across projects
  • gather requirements, advise on improvements and processes
  • engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussion to address concerns and gather feedback, ensuring alignment with work area goals

About you

  • extensive experience gathering business requirements
  • extensive experience undertaking business process analysis
  • experience facilitating workshops with diverse stakeholder groups
  • experience identifying and mapping ‘as is’ and creating ‘to be’ business processes
  • understanding of change management principles and agile methodology
  • experience with business analytical tools, PowerBI and Microsoft suite
  • high level stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiating skills.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
