About the opportunity

The admissions team leads the strategic direction and implementation of the University’s admissions plan. We are seeking an Admissions Assistant to support the Admissions group in the assessment and processing of student applications to the University of Sydney. This position is a key role in the delivery of the University’s objective to admit talented students both domestically and internationally.

Deploy your extensive customer service, administration, and communication skills to support staff and students with enquiries related to admission policies, systems and procedures. In this role you will be handling important information, so your attention to detail is key to be able to deliver clean and concise information.

About you

  • high quality customer service skills with the ability to interpret and apply appropriate regulations
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office, including spread sheets and databases
  • proven administration, communication and data analysis skills within a results focused, high-volume environment
  • previous exposure to policies, systems, processes, and procedures relating to admissions
  • professional, productive, and positive relationships with faculty administrative staff, academics, and other internal stakeholders.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
