Job Description:

The role encompasses inspecting areas, estimating repair costs, training personnel, and recording maintenance details. It also involves diagnosing machine malfunctions, performing routine maintenance, cleaning duties, notifying managers of major repairs, requisitioning supplies, and ensuring building security and safety. Maintaining cleanliness and order in buildings, including heavy cleaning tasks like floor cleaning and rug shampooing, as well as ensuring restrooms and common areas are properly serviced and maintained. Gathering and emptying trash, cleaning windows and mirrors. This role entails leading a team of maintenance generalists and custodial workers and involves directing, coordinating, and supervising their tasks, potentially including direct supervision.
Training maintenance personnel and custodial employees, recording the cost of maintenance and repair work, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory, dismantling machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hand tools, or power tools. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
Oversees other custodians and contractors as required in team efforts, such as major cleaning operations and emergency cleanup wherever warranted including minor repairs to various systems, completing light plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work, and driving vehicles for travel or cleaning tasks. Collaborates with team on special assignments such as setting up and cleaning after special events.


Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Expected Salary: $18-$20/hr.
Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Five (5) or more years of experience in the field.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with computers.
