The role/Te mahi

Applications are invited for a full-time, permanent, Senior Teaching Fellow position. We seek applicants with expertise in any field of Management.

Senior Teaching Fellows design and deliver high quality teaching that is informed by significant experience gained via practice, research/study and teaching experience.

The duties of a Senior Teaching fellow will include significant management and leadership roles within the Department or School or Division such as course advising, course coordination, student pastoral care or carrying out a University-wide role in innovation or outreach.

Prime functions include:
•    Providing teaching-related support and administration within the Department of Management. 
•    Carrying out administration responsibilities
•    Contributing to the Department’s academic goals, where appropriate.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

•    Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (a PhD is preferable).
•    Evidence of extensive and effective teaching at tertiary level.
•    Well organised and effective written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and independently.
•    Able to maintain a professional approach with staff, students and international partners.
•    Evidence of an ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds and at all levels of the institution.
•    A commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and to equal opportunity.

This is a full-time (1 FTE), permanent position based in Dunedin.

The appointment range is $98,640 to $107,300 per annum.
