Why this role matters:

The Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA), UNSW, will undertake research focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in neuroimaging and the harmonization of neuroimaging data, collaborating with international researchers.

Reporting to A/Prof Wei Wen , this role encompasses various responsibilities. This role demands a high level of expertise in neuroimaging and artificial intelligence, as well as strong research, communication, and project management skills to contribute effectively to the research efforts of CHeBA and UNSW.

Skills Required:

  • A PhD in Neuroimaging, Data science, Engineering, or a related field or a recently submitted PhD thesis with the expectation of being awarded a PhD within six months.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations in neuroimaging. Demonstrated knowledge on AI applications in neuroimaging.
  • Experience in the harmonization of neuroimaging data would be highly regarded.
  • Highly developed mathematical/statistical/modelling/analysis/programming skills.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan and prioritize own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
