Location
 

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.


Department Information
 

KSU has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the NSA and DHS in 2004, 2007, 2012 and 2015.  There are several security programs on campus with the need for qualified part-time faculty.


Job Summary
 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions, beginning August 1, 2021. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.


Responsibilities
 

Area of specialization include: Cybersecurity/Information Security

Teaching expectations include:
Teaching courses or assisting in the instruction of courses in principles of cybersecurity, cybersecurity management, contingency planning, digital forensics, network security, cloud security, web application security, cryptography, cybercrime, law & ethics, or other courses related to information security or cybersecurity. 

Also expected to grade or assist in the grading of student assignments and assessments, providing feedback on student performance and answering questions regarding the curriculum and the discipline.

Selected faculty will be eligible to work remotely thus precluding the need to physically travel to KSU.


Required Qualifications
 
  • An earned Master’s or Doctorate in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Criminal Justice, or closely related discipline, or the foreign equivalent is required.  Applicants with a Criminal Justice degree should have graduate coursework in cybercrime and/or extensive experience working in cybercrime/cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Cybersecurity/Information Security Certifications from (ISC)2 , ISACA, GIAC, or EC-Council.
  • College-level teaching experience
  • Online teaching experience
