Position Qualifications/Responsibilities

Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Department of Psychological Science at Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for part-time instructors and/or part-time assistant professors to teach undergraduate psychology courses. These may include, but are not limited to: Introduction to General Psychology, core classes in our curriculum areas (e.g., Developmental, Diversity/Multicultural, Social/Personality, Biological Bases, Learning/Cognition), and elective courses in our degree program (as needed).

Part-time faculty are hired from the department’s applicant pool on a semester-by-semester basis. This ad is for inclusion in the pool. Course loads are based on departmental needs and vary between one to two courses per semester with a maximum of four courses per academic year. Courses may be taught at the Kennesaw campus, the Marietta campus, and/or the Paulding site. Courses are offered during daytime and evening hours, on both weekdays and weekends, and in a variety of delivery modalities (resident, hybrid, and online).

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Master’s degree in psychology or closely related field (or the foreign equivalent) with a minimum of 18 graduate credit-hours in psychology. Previous experience teaching psychology at the college level is ideal.
