The primary focus of the Epic Applications Analyst ('Analyst') is to closely collaborate with other Applications Team members and internal UW Medicine customers to provide a cross-functional, knowledgeable, single point of technical leadership for application tools and workflows. Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
The Analyst is both a subject matter expert and technical systems expert who possesses an array of cross-functional systems knowledge and support skills for applications used by multiple UW Medicine customer groups. The Analyst's responsibilities span the entire lifecycle of UW Medicine clinical and business systems activities.
The application environment within UW Medicine includes multiple clinical, business systems and departmental systems, interfaces, and clinical data repositories. An understanding of the applications and their integration with our EHR systems is integral to the Analyst's success.

UW Medicine’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Neighborhood Clinics (UWNC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM) and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). In addition, UW Medicine shares in the ownership and governance of Children’s University Medical Group and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (a partnership between UW Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research and Seattle Children’s). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all of these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.
