Our chair is part of ETH’s MTEC Department where we investigate how the possession of social power affects decision-making, goal pursuit, and self-control processes. Furthermore, we are interested in the consequences that a state of powerlessness has on people’s cognition, emotion, and behavior.
Job description
We are looking for a Bachelor or Master Student for Assistance in Literature Search.
This literature search is for a common project of the Mobiliar Lab for Analytics at ETH and the Chair of Organizational Behavior at ETH Zurich. The project is on the intersection of the fields of social psychology, neuroscience, and human-computer interaction.
The literature search is expected to be started right away and finished until the 20th of December 2021. We expect the research assistant to work between 8-15 hours per week. The prospective research assistant should be interested in reading about topics related to social power, trust, human-computer interactions, and the role of hormones in interpersonal interactions.
Tasks include:
- Independent literature search on the above-mentioned topics
- Preparing summaries of the literature search
Your profile
You should ideally have a background in psychology and/or neuroscience. Very good organizational skills and a reliable work ethics are expected. Moreover, you should have excellent communication skills. Applicants must currently be enrolled at ETHZ or at the University of Zurich to apply for this position.
