STI – PhD position in single-molecule imaging and manipulation of membrane-less organelles (MLOs)

Updated: about 2 years ago
Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

Laboratory of Nanoscale Biology at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) has an opening for a doctoral student to investigate the behavior of individual molecules and biomolecular phase transition in vitro and in living cells. The successful candidate will work independently to develop and drive forward his/her research project and also collaborate on ongoing projects in the group.

You will use single-molecule imaging and advanced computational methods developed by our lab to visualize and quantify the dynamics and biophysical properties of membrane-less organelles (MLOs). Our state-of-the-art imaging platforms (SMLM/SIM/SOFI) are combined with commercial or homemade optical tweezers and scanning probe microscopes.

To apply, please send your complete application in a single PDF file, including a cover letter, full CV including publication list and the contact information of 3 referees, to [email protected]

Submitted applications will be evaluated immediately, and the search will remain open until the position is filled.
