PhD student in the synthesis of polymeric materials

For an ERC consolidator grant at the Laboratory for Functional Polymers, we are searching a motivated PhD student.

Your tasks

You will work on a research project in the field of novel dielectric elastic materials. The emphasis will be on synthesizing specially designed polymers and elastomers with improved dielectric properties. Additionally, their dielectric, mechanical, and electromechanical properties will be evaluated. You will be part of a strong team active at the forefront of elastomeric materials development.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in synthetic organic and polymer chemistry and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary field and who is open to learning new things. The PhD candidate needs to be proficient in spoken and written English and has a Master’s degree.

Our offer
