A PhD position (5 years) is open in the group of Prof. Yves Poirier at the Department of Plant Molecular Biology (DBMV) of the University of Lausanne. The DBMV regroups 8 laboratories dedicated to the study of plants from cellular and molecular perspectives (www.unil.ch/dbmv/en/home.html ).

The research in the Poirier group is aimed at the molecular characterization of phosphate transport and homeostasis in plants as well as in microorganisms associated with plant roots, such as mycorrhiza (www.unil.ch/dbmv/Poirier-group ). The proposed research project will focus on the study of phosphate metabolism in Laccaria bicolor, an ectomycorrhizal fungus frequently associated with the roots of trees.
