The University of Zurich is the largest research university in Switzerland. IKMZ is one of the leading communication science departments in Europe. The positon is at the chair for Internet Use & Society (Prof. Dr. Eszter Hargittai).
Your responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality research on online communication about science and religion
  • Help design, administer, analyze, and write up results of a national survey as well as interview data
  • Collaborate in team projects
  • Publish in leading communication and other social science journals
  • Pursue your PhD within the period of appointment
  • Some organizational or administrative tasks

Your profile
  • Master's degree in communication science or a related field (certificate required at start of employment)
  • Excellent English and Spanish language skills, openness to learning German
  • Interest in research on science and religion communication online
  • Experience with doing research in a communication studies research group
  • Interest in/ability to work in a team
