Job title: POLICIES AND TOOLS FOR MAINSTREAMING 1.5°- LIFESTYLES (EU 1.5° LIFESTYLES)

Research line / Scientific-technical services: Social innovation for sustainability, health and education.

The POLICIES AND TOOLS FOR MAINSTREAMING 1.5°- LIFESTYLES (EU 1.5° LIFESTYLES) project is a partnership of 10 universities.

Coordinated by Westfaelische Wilhelms-Universitaet Muenster (WWU) of Germany, the partnership works with 6 other European countries (Holland, Sweden, Hungary, Finland, Spain and Latvia). The project is based on the need to implement actions and changes in lifestyles to limit global warming from the demand side (for the 1.5° approach to lifestyles (see e.g. Akenji et al. 2019) The objective of the Project is to generate quantitative and qualitative evidence on the contribution of specific changes in lifestyles to the mitigation of climate change; on the degree of citizen acceptance of the drastic changes required by the transition of lifestyles to sustainability. ; and on the structural limitations that must be addressed in parallel to changes in individual behaviours. To meet these objectives, the analysis of consumption behaviours and other perspectives at the level of individuals or households will be connected with the analysis of structural factors socioeconomic and institutional, from the local to the international. The ultimate goal is to generate knowledge that facilitates the evidence-based choice of sustainable lifestyles by citizens and encourages the formulation of more effective climate action policies.

The main tasks of the researcher will include:

- Develop, review, implement and promote the results of the project with special emphasis on sustainable lifestyles using resources and instruments for communication with all interested parties, mainly political decisionmakers, citizens and the media, and researchers/scientists, experts, sector business, educational, etc.

- Jointly develop public policy recommendations with stakeholders at local, national and international levels, especially regarding sustainable lifestyles

- Coordinate with similar initiatives addressing sustainable lifestyles (including activities supported by H2020) to create synergies and through combined information and dissemination efforts that generate greater momentum.

- Support for data analysis and scientific report preparation tasks in which the UDC is involved

- Support for research transfer tasks in tasks coordinated or in which the UDC participates.

- Involvement in the tasks of participation in conferences about the project, its methodology and results in scientific events, publications in professional and peer-reviewed journals, and technical summaries on the project methodology and results

- Represent the team in Project meetings when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATES AND SELECTION CRITERIA

Block 1: Academic training

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant area of study: Psychology, Biology, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, or Health Sciences: 2 points; Bachelor's Degree in another area of knowledge: 0.5 points. Having completed a Master's degree in: Psychology, Educational Sciences, Sociology, Health Sciences, Neurosciences, Research Methodology in Social Sciences: 1 point. Master's degree in another field of knowledge: 0.5 points.

Block 2: Knowledge of English

Proficiency in oral and written English at level B1 or equivalent, demonstrable through a valid linguistic certificate (B1, Toefl, IELTS, etc.); or having completed a minimum of one year of their studies in an English-speaking country: 1.5 points Note: If the sum of the scores achieved in Block 1 and 2 does not reach a minimum of 4 points, scoring will be stopped.

Block 3: Experience

- Demonstrable experience in research on sustainable lifestyles, nature-based solutions, pro-environmental behaviours, influence of natural environments on psychological and social behaviours. (1 point for each year of contract related to the mentioned areas. Up to 2 points)

- Demonstrable experience in qualitative data analysis techniques through specific qualitative data analysis courses of at least 3 credits (0.25 points per course); research contracts that certify the completion of work related to the required experience (0.5 points per contract year); or authorship of indexed publications that accredit the completion of work related to the required experience (0.5 points per publication) (up to 3 points).

- Previous experience of participation in national, European or international projects obtained in competitive calls, demonstrable through research contracts or collaboration scholarships (0.25 per year and per project in the case of scholarships, 1 points per year per project in case of research contracts, up to a maximum of 3 points).

- Previous experience of participation as a speaker or member of the organization in international conferences (0.25 points per presentation per conference, 0.50 points per conference, for being a member of the Organizing Committee, up to a maximum of 1 point)

- Complementary training on topics related to the project. It will be scored according to the following criteria: participation in courses or conferences (0.25 points per day) up to a maximum of 1 point.

Block 4: Publications

Publications in JCR indexed international journals, relevant to the topic of the project. Each original article will be valued as follows: 0.25 points/publication, up to 1 point, applying a multiplier coefficient of 0.5 to 2 due to the relationship with the area and the order of authors.

Block 5: Personal interview, in case of a tie (max. 3 points)

The selected candidate will have to achieve a minimum score of 5 points.

Based on compliance with the requirements and the assessment of merits, a prioritized order of the candidates will be established. The candidate with the highest score will be awarded. With the rest of the candidates and, respecting this order of priority, according to merit, a waiting list will be created, exclusively for this position, which will be used for hiring in the case of resignation, dismissal or withdrawal due to temporary disability of the selected person.
