PhD Fellowship in Genome and Transcriptome Bioinformatics (ref 213876)

Updated: over 2 years ago
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 13 Nov 2021

The project aims to investigate chromatin-associated mechanisms encoding the thermogenic capacity of human adipose tissue. The PhD fellow’s research will focus on transcriptomic, epigenetic and chromatin conformation changes associated with adipose stem cell differentiation into white or beige adipocytes. The project involves design and analyses of time-series bulk and single-cell RNA-seq data, integration with other  –omics datasets, and temporal and spatial representation of findings. The candidate will be expected to participate in study design, present findings and write papers.

The selected candidate will interact with a cross-disciplinary team of cell biologists and bioinformaticians and will be expected to draw on expertise of the group in adipose tissue biology, stem cell biology, gene regulation, genome imaging, and high-throughput genomics.
