The Department of Invasion Ecology of the Institute of Botany is opening a three-year postdoc position in the research on plant invasion in protected areas.

Your main responsibilities and duties will be:

The PhD student will perform field work in protected areas in Nepal to study their threat from invasive plants, and measure their impact on vegetation and soil. The aim is to identify factors driving invasions of alien plants in protected areas in the study region. The research will be done in a broader collaboration on a global project focusing on the role of habitats in plant invasions, and the student will be part of an international group dealing with this topic.
