Job description:

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (Charles University, Prague) has an opening for
PhD student in experimental particle physics (ATLAS)
The successful candidate is expected to carry out data analyses within the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The PhD project will focus on the top-quark physics. The candidate is expected to have at least a basic knowledge of C++ and an experience with the ROOT framework.
The position is located in Prague, Czech Republic. The project offers net funding at the minimal level of 23 000 CZK per month for the normal duration of PhD studies (4 years). The net funding can increase up to 27 500 CZK per month after fulfilling various conditions. Additional funds can be obtained through the Charles University Grant Agency. The tuition for a doctorate is free.

A document certifying completion of a university education at Master's level needs to be provided the latest on September 30th, 2024. The starting date of the PhD studies is October 1st, 2024.
