Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions
for the project New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences /NETPHARM,
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004607,
within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Comenius (OP JAK), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,
to fill the research position:
FaF_VZ5_85: PhD Student, 0.25 FTE (25 %),
Place of work: Hradec Králové
Responsibilities:
- Independent performance of the research activities in the relevant field.
- Involvement in work for VZ5 (WP5) in a renowned scientific team focused on xenobiotic resistance research.
- Optimization of procedures for the preparation of sequencing libraries from biological material.
- Working with experimental animals and cell cultures (3D models preparation).
- Presentation and publication of the achieved results on an international level.
- Involvement in the preparation of related national and international projects.
- Participation in key project activities with an emphasis on application potential.
Profile:
- Education in the field of bioanalytics / pharmacy or natural sciences.
- Experience with molecular biological methods (transfection, PCR, RNA isolation, western blotting).
- The advantage is the experience with working with cell cultures, sterile work, etc.
- The advantage is the certification and experience with working with animals.
- The advantage is scientific and publishing activity in the field of natural sciences.
- Letter of recommendation from an expert in the field.
- Active knowledge of English language.

- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- High level of work commitment
- Strong willingness to learn new things continuously

The estimated monthly wage: 45 000 CZK (1,0 FTE)
The start of work: 1 July 2024, or can be negotiated
Type of employment contract: for 1-3 years, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 29 February 2028.
Employment: part-time (0.25 FTE)
