Validation of novel molecular targets from anti-inflammatory and cytoprotective molecules in neurons

CENTD, a multidisciplinary center studying molecular targets of inflammatory diseases, is offering a postdoctoral position for 24 months. 


The project aims to identify and validate new pharmacological targets through the investigation of anti-inflammatory peptides derived from animal venoms. The activities involve elucidating the peptide effects in cell culture, and in vivo using inflammatory and pain models in rodents. Candidates must have obtained a PhD degree within the last seven years, with a solid background in molecular biology, biochemistry and in vivo models for inflammation and pain assessments. 


Registration closes on 30/04/2024. The opportunity is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship of R$ R$ 9,047.40 per month, along with a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual scholarship value to cover unforeseen research-related expenses.
