Summary

The Immuno-oncology Laboratory at the Centro de Ensino e Pesquisa of the Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa Albert Einstein offers a postdoctoral position under the supervision of Dr. Kenneth John Gollob. The selected candidate will collaborate with the analysis of multi-omic data from different cohorts of cancer patients. Our goal is to identify molecules, pathways, immune cells and networks responsible for inducing an effective antitumor response (responder or disease control) vs. a poor response (non-responder or relapse) after therapeutic intervention in prospective and retrospective cohorts of patients with colorectal cancer, NSCLC, oral cavity cancer, melanoma and others. This will provide new targets to improve the response to therapy or inhibit the development of adverse events, as well as identify potential biomarkers to select patients with better clinical benefit.

Our group is linked to the Center for Research in Immuno-Oncology (CRIO), supported by FAPESP and GSK, which is composed of the Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa Albert Einstein and the partner institutions, FMRP-USP and AC Camargo Cancer Center.

We are looking for candidates who are proactive and able to work independently and in a collaborative team. Previous experience in analyzing exome and transcriptome data is required, as well as expertise in the R language and integrated analysis of multi-omic data. Experience in single-cell RNASeq data analysis is desired.

Please send, until October 05, 2022, to Prof. Dr. Kenneth John Gollob ([email protected] ), the following documents: Curriculum Vitae, letter expressing the reasons for interest in the position and two names to be consulted for recommendation.

The position is open to brazilians and foreigners. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral Scholarship from FAPESP in the amount of R$ 8,479.20 monthly and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
