The Research Group on Catalysis and Organic Synthesis (GCaSO) of the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) is offering a post-doctoral fellowship linked to the Thematic Project -FAPESP "Novel chemical catalytic and photocatalytic processes for the direct conversion of methane and CO2 to products” The research line coordinated by Prof. Dr. Dalmo Mandelli aims at the synthesis and application of Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) for the conversion of methane and CO2 into higher added-value products. The project involves international partnerships with the possibility of internships in renowned research centers abroad. More information about the project can be found in: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G7V1bABQ8KxMDfHXJiXTX2-7L4i6v1UW/view?usp=sharing The main activities of the postdoctoral student are associated with the planning and development of new MOF, characterization protocols, and application of MOF for the oxidation of light alkanes such as methane and cyclohexane. Additionally, it should develop protocols for the characterization of oxidation products via GC-MS and GC-FID.It is expected that the post-doctoral fellow (PDF) participates at the group meetings with presentations of results and discussion of the results of the other group members, adding insights that allow the experiments optimization. The PDF should be actively involved in scientific dissemination, participating in conferences, and publishing the results in national and international journals in the areas of Catalysis and Advanced Materials. Collaborate with other researchers by conducting training, reviewing reports, and developing articles. PDF will also collaborate with the principal researcher in the development of the annual report to FAPESP, supervising master's and doctoral students, collaborating with the prospecting of new researchers, and the administrative activities involved in purchasing equipment and reagents, and receiving visiting researchers. The vacancy is open to residents of Brazil. The selected candidate will receive FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the amount of R $ 7,373.10 per month and Technical Reserve equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the scholarship to meet unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
