Offer Description

As part of this PhD project, you will both fundamentally and clinically investigate which molecular abnormalities occur as a consequence of the promotor variant underlying this disorder. The assignment within this vacancy will mainly consist of further developing translational research, including the development of cell lines and organoids from patient cells and their use as experimental models, data processing and scientific writing.

Eligibility criteria
  • You hold a Master degree in a field relevant to the project (e.g. Master of Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry). 
  • You are willing to commit full-time to doctoral research.
  • You are fluent in English and you have an academic writing style.
  • You have a broad interest and are curious about fundamental and translational research in kidney diseases. 
  • You are eager and quick to learn and you enjoy reading scientific literature.  
  • You work accurately and precisely. 
  • You have a critical mind and enjoy problem-solving.
  • You have good communication and teamwork skills.
