Electromobility Research Centre (MOBI) is a leader in defining the state-of-the-art in Electromobility and Socio-Economic Evaluations for sustainable mobility and logistics.

The strength of MOBI resides in a unique combination of socio-economical, environmental & technical competencies, together with tools & assets specifically developed for the sustainable transport sector.

MOBI is searching for the strong PhD candidates to pursue the 4-year program in Electrochemical Engineering.

Main tasks:

·     Preparation and characterization of the electrodes and battery cells (coin and pouch cell configuration).

·     Experimental data treatment, cell modeling.

·     Participation to the technical meetings.

·     Regular writing/presenting of the reports.

·     Maintenance of the lab environment.

·     Supervision of Master students.

·     Participation to scientific conferences.

Skills/Qualifications

Main requirements:

·     Completed Master’s degree in Electrochemistry, Material Science, Chemical Technology, or Chemical Engineering or related field. 

·     Knowledge in the energy storage technologies. Experience from battery manufacturing and/or cell characterization is considered a plus.

·     Fluent English equivalent to B2 or higher.

·     Programming Skills (Python or Matlab) is considered as a plus.

You’ll be offered a full-time PhD-scholarship, for 12 months (extendable up to max. 48 months, on condition of the positive evaluation of the PhD activities), with planned starting date 01/09/2023

You’ll receive a grant linked to one of the scales set by the government.

IMPORTANT:  The effective result of the doctorate scholarship is subject to the condition precedent of your enrolment as a doctorate student at the university.
