Summary of Duties:

This position will provide professional-level support for health technology and innovation research projects conducted by nurse scientists in a multidisciplinary environment. The position will assist with study design, human subjects’ data collection and analysis, and may participate in dissemination of study findings. Data collection includes, but is not limited to, interviews, surveys, observations, medical record extraction, administering test and interventions. The position will assist with developing study protocols and will implement, coordinate, and manage data activities, including monitoring study procedures for quality and assisting with making necessary modifications. 
 
The position will coordinate logistics, assist with communications, and maintain a trusted relationship with community research partners. The position will also assist with managing research budgets, Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents, and other Primary Investigator delegated tasks. Duties will include, but are not limited to, approaching community organizations to partner in research, recruiting and consenting participants, coordinating research team travel, managing research protocols, deploying and testing new health technologies in naturalistic environments, data management using a variety of software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, NVivo), communicating across disciplines, problem-solving, developing trust with research partners, communicating study findings, managing multiple study budgets. 
 
This is a research project coordinator position. Renewal is dependent on satisfactory performance, the need for extension to complete the project and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.

This position has a varied work schedule that may include evenings and weekends. This is a research-related position expected to end December 31, 2022. Renewal is dependent on satisfactory performance, the need for extension to complete the project and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience as a Research Study Coordinator OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Minimum of one year experience coordinating biomedical and/or behavioral research.

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with large groups and individuals at all work levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Nursing with current RN license.

  • Master’s or higher degree in Psychology, social work, nursing or related academic field.

  • Experience in Endnote, Zotero, and/or SPSS. 

  • Experience working with diverse populations.

  • Experience working with the older adult population. 

  • Experience with scientific writing.
