Summary of Duties:

Program Coordinator works independently to coordinate day-to-day operations for the Outdoor Recreation Center. Provides primary support to Outdoor Recreation programs, Rental Shop, Climbing Wall, Challenge Program, and Coug Bikes Program. Provides general overall support to the University Recreation department.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in recreation programing or event coordination, or equivalent education/experience. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Two (2) or more years coordinating programs, human resources, or students groups including basic fiscal and complex clerical experience 

  • Experience with WSU applications systems 

  • Experience in higher education fiscal setting
