Summary of Duties:
The Plant Communications Coordinator operates the Central Telephone Switchboard for the Facilities Services, Operations Department. The incumbent receives maintenance calls and work requests and refers to parties within the department. Prepares and expedites all work order requests, etc. Operates two-way radio communications. Produces multiple Maintenance Reports. Keeps Maintenance department statistics.
Monday-Friday, 3:15 pm- 11:15pm May fill-in/relief for other shifts during the workweek as necessary or should permanent PCC return to normal work schedule.
This is a project position expected to end 10/31/2022.
Required Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience in some aspect of shop related work to provide general familiarity with repair and maintenance activities; OR equivalent education/experience.
Monday-Friday, 3:15 pm- 11:15pm May fill-in/relief for other shifts during the workweek as necessary or should permanent PCC return to normal work schedule.
Experience in using computers.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year clerical experience.
